Retinote Learning terms
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms apply when you use Retinote Learning, including its articles, quizzes and certificates ("content"). They form part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Privacy Policy. By selecting "Accept and continue" you agree to them.
1. Educational purpose only
Content is provided for general education and professional development. It is not clinical advice. It does not replace your own professional judgement, current clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, or advice about the care of a specific patient. Always consider each patient's individual circumstances.
3. Reliance and liability
- You use content at your own risk.
- To the extent permitted by law, Retinote and its authors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on content, including any error, omission or out-of-date information.
- Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the relevant content again.
4. Intellectual property and acceptable use
- Content is owned by its authors and Retinote, or used under licence, and is protected by copyright.
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view content through Retinote Learning for your own professional development while you have access to Retinote.
- You must not, and must not help anyone else to:
- copy, download, screenshot, print, record or save content, except as Retinote Learning expressly allows (for example, downloading your own certificates);
- share, republish, sell, distribute or publicly display content, including in other courses, presentations, social media or websites;
- share your account or login with anyone else;
- scrape, crawl or extract content using automated means;
- use content to create derivative works or to train or prompt any AI model.
- If you breach this section, we may suspend or cancel your access, and you may be liable to Retinote or the author.
5. CPD, quizzes and certificates
- You are responsible for deciding whether content meets your CPD requirements and for recording your CPD accurately.
- When you mark content as complete, you confirm that you have genuinely completed it.
- Quiz results are for self-assessment only.
6. Reporting problems
If you believe content is inaccurate, out of date, infringes someone's rights or is otherwise inappropriate, please tell us at support@retinote.com.au. We may correct, update or remove content at any time.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will ask you to accept the updated terms before you continue using Retinote Learning.
